My day had started out fairly bland and uneventful.
I sold a bunch of caramel on Etsy .. spunkychidldesign.etsy.com and whipped up a few batches, wrapped, packed and that was that.
Nicholas and I drove and had gotten my tires rotated for there 6 month rotation at the tire joint, had my brakes looked at also. Made a few phone calls, touched base with some family members. Then cleaned a little today. (Its my day off, who wants to clean right?)
Then come the time around 3 pm I hadn't anything to do and fell asleep watching a movie with my husband. When I had woke I met a friend at the Library. Nicholas and I visited for a very short time. Nicholas and I went our way, she went hers. Nicholas and I decided to go to the thrift store before returning home from our uneventful evening. Low and behold I spotted a Vintage Sewing machine sitting on the bottom shelf... $20 but, lucky me! half off today! So, we plugged the o'l girl in and voula! she works!!
I snagged myself a 1964 New Home Vintage green and cream sewing machine that works like a charm for only $10. I dubbed her "Ginny" . This o'l Ginny has a wonderful story to tell me once I get her oiled and moving to par. I have to do some finding for a few parts- new bobbin case (easy find at my local craft store ) a slide plate and a few spare belts. The belt is exposed I have never seen a sewing machine quit like this one before and I am just ever so delighted to have her!
So! here is to new beginnings and a fun adventure ahead of me!
